Adam Kimmel is a fashion brand that originated in New York. The designer is from New York and his collections are very cool, incorporating sports and workwear styles into formal wear, and the brand still has many loyal fans. At the time, the brand was only available in select shops, so it is a brand that is only known to those in the know. Unfortunately, the brand has not been active since it went on hiatus in 2012.

This is a collaboration with Adam Kimmel's signature work. Carhartt is one of America's leading workwear brands, and the designer himself wore the brand when he was a teenager, so it's a collaboration that he feels very attached to. It's a fusion of the aesthetic sense that pursues functional beauty, which is also seen in Adam Kimmel's collections, and the technology that Carhartt has cultivated over the years.
Tailored jackets proposed by workwear brands are common in 2014, but they were quite fresh at the time. This is a slightly slim tailored jacket. In the 2010s, the mainstream fashion was to wear very slim clothes, so XXS and XS were common, but this is a size M that can be worn in a modern style. There is a thin layer of padding in the armholes. I think it's there to make the silhouette look nice rather than to keep out the cold. The texture of the fabric and the silhouette are all perfect and it really looks cool.

Back then, when I was young, it was too expensive to buy these brands. Now I can buy them. We've grown up. And I think being able to buy them cheaply is one of the things about second-hand clothing. If the size fits, I think it's a must-buy.
