Levi's chino pants line is Dockers. And their dress pants line is SLATES. Their main line, Action Slacks, is of course good, but I get the impression that these slacks are made with more serious care. This pair of pants has a beautiful wide silhouette with two tucks, a roomy waist, and a gentle taper from the hem.

These slacks are a coyote brown color that you might find in old army chinos. At first glance they look like chinos, but the texture and dull sheen of the material give them an elegant, mature look that chinos don't. The small amount of polyester makes them wrinkle-resistant even after washing and quick-drying, so they're comfortable to wear from the cold season to the sweaty season. They were manufactured in 1997, which is a little older than the Slates, and the tag is different from recent ones. Only the person wearing them will know, but it's a point that gets you excited.
